Welcome to the 'Selected' promotion site



On 19th April 2010 Recoil released an album, entitled 'Selected', featuring a selection of classic Recoil tracks chosen by Alan Wilder - who says: "The collection is made up of my personal favourites, remastered and edited together into what I consider a cohesive and total listening experience."

The 'Selected' formats have been confirmed as a single CD version, double pack CD, 4-disc deluxe vinyl, and a limited edition box set. The double CD & vinyl features many new remixes and alternative versions, again chosen and edited together by Alan and Paul Kendall, while the special edition boasts two further discs of extra music and exclusive films.

The Recoil project was born in 1986 as a two-track experimental EP. The most significant work has evolved since 1996 with the releases of the 'Unsound Methods', 'Liquid' and 'subHuman' albums. Over the course of the last 10 years Alan has been ably accompanied by Paul Kendall who brings his idiosyncratic view to the whole procedure. He has also been fortunate enough to cement working relationships with many writers, vocalists and musicians, most of whom appear on this new release.

In support of the 'Selected' album, a Recoil Events tour recently took place across Europe and will also go to South America and the US later this year. More dates will be announced and you can expect some interesting developments as each city is confirmed.
